We drove up to Boston for the afternoon/evening. Clayton had a recital. He played 5 songs - my personal favorite was Me & Julio Down by the Schoolyard on tuba. He even included subway announcements and the wind blowing. I wish I could have recorded it to share. 
At least we got this photo.

Guess where we went? Well, 3 of us actually. Dylan was shipped off to boot camp for the week (or his uncle's house in LA) and Stefanie, Sarah (who is writing) and Tyler spent the week in Ohio. We found a summer camp that was a perfect fit for him, but since it's a day camp, we spent the week here together. He had the days at camp, having fun, while we spent the days frolicking (via car mostly trying to find things that weren't closed...). The afternoons were a mix of stuff. Here's a quick photo dump with captions so you know what you're seeing, they aren't in any particular order. We found out about this free fossil pit in PA. It happened to be about at the halfway point between home and Akron. Tyler is a rock fanatic (always has been) and has an added affinity to fossils. It seemed the perfect fit. What a week! (Part 3/5)

    We spent an entire day at Disneyland! We tried to be there for the rope drop but we didn't quite make it. We rode every ride - some twice. We ate all the food, too. Dylan got to have a conversation with Rey and take a photo with her. He did get the helmet as a souvenir. Jo got a Remy (from Ratatouille) shoulder plush and some Pride Mickey Ears. It was such an amazing day. We spent most of it with Matt & Sarah, but they had to leave to tend to Sammy. We stayed until the wee hours of the night, heading to the hotel at around 10. I'd say we got our steps in! We didn't stay at a Disney hotel, but Storm Troopers infiltrated!! Thankfully, the hotel put this rope around them and that seems to have prevented them from taking over

What a week! (Part 1/5)

 Apparently, I tried to do too many photos in each post, so I had to split it into 5 parts. I guess that means you're in for a lot of photos!! 一一一一一一一一一一一一一一一一一一一一一 Travels! 🧳  We spent the mid winter recess in Los Angeles. Sammy is just shy of 6 months old and we needed to soak him up.  We sat separately from NY to Chicago, but together from Chicago to LAX.  Dylan wants to be a pilot when he's older and absolutely loves all things airplane. He excitedly asked the flight attendant if he could see the cockpit. She asked the pilot, who then let him sit in the seat! While he was there, Sarah learned from the flight attendant that it is no longer known as a "cockpit" since women are allowed to fly the plane. It's now called a flight deck.  We arrived at Matt & Sarah's in the late afternoon, so Dylan promptly challenged Matt to a chess game.  Jo follows a YouTuber and they had an event going on a bit south of the house.
