What a week! (Part 5/5)

Very easily, this post highlights the smallest, newest, cutest, screamiest (when tired or hungry, otherwise not screamy), smartest, hungriest of all.

We bring to you: Sammy!

Sammy is absolutely a wonderful baby. He is surrounded by loving parents, grandparents, and the whole extended family. He's the luckiest kid to have the best nanny in existence. She is wonderful and takes very good care of him so his parents can work and give him a life full of love and joy - food and shelter help too.

Dylan had fun with the laser pointer and controlling" the cat. He said "the cat controls the house, but the laser pointer controls the cat."








We all had such a good time. Sammy wants so badly to learn to walk, so he can run everyone ragged. We had a great time watching him grow this week - which at almost 6 months is huge growth. He has a wonderful smile.

Unfortunately, we had to leave. The flights were uneventful (though slightly delayed), and while we're sad to haveeft, we're happy to be home!

Oh, Hi! Yo!

Guess where we went? Well, 3 of us actually. Dylan was shipped off to boot camp for the week (or his uncle's house in LA) and Stefanie, Sarah (who is writing) and Tyler spent the week in Ohio. We found a summer camp that was a perfect fit for him, but since it's a day camp, we spent the week here together. He had the days at camp, having fun, while we spent the days frolicking (via car mostly trying to find things that weren't closed...). The afternoons were a mix of stuff. Here's a quick photo dump with captions so you know what you're seeing, they aren't in any particular order. We found out about this free fossil pit in PA. It happened to be about at the halfway point between home and Akron. Tyler is a rock fanatic (always has been) and has an added affinity to fossils. It seemed the perfect fit. Connecticut

We drove up to Hartford Connecticut for the evening on Tuesday. We went to see Twenty-one pilots in concert to celebrate the kids birthday. The kids had the time of their lives!! They got super close during one of their "in audience" moments, we got to meet Tyler's online friend Sebastian, and best of all, we got to see such an awesome group.  Here's a quick photo dump:

Camping in NJ

Sarah & Tyler went to Southern NJ to camp. We cut the trip sorry but had a fun day!  Our campsite was large and lovely, though no picnic table.  This view is from the tent pad, looking out towards the parking area. It's just beyond the trees on the right. It was nice to have a grill and gas supplied by the kampground. We've never had that before. Unfortunately, that didn't work for us because we didn't have an appropriate spatula. We had brought our regular grill anyway, so we just used that (it was quicker too!) The seats around the fire pit were lovely too. We explored just a little, and took very few photos, so enjoy what we DO have. We happened upon a lake which we walked along. There were ducklings and fish! We spent our morning with a miniature tour of Philadelphia. We didn't do much, as it was crazy hot and humid, but we did get to Elfreths Alley which was über cool. ...
